Hi all,
I am looking for a correct way to setup my website layout. For instance: I
would like to have a selection mechanism (like tree or something) on the
left and the page data on the right.
I tried several ways now to implement some kind of mechanism. For instance
using frames, loading user controls in a placeholder on the right side,
loading pages in an iframe tag on the right side, etc. Some of these options

Hi all,
I'm trying to set up a web server using IIS on a different machine than my
SQL Server is on. I have my web site set up to use windows authentication,
and I have ASPNET set up as a user on the database. I still get the "Login
failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server
connection." though. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

I am just trying to setup a new Windows 2003 Server (Web Edition) and I
want to test it with the ASP.Net 2 beta. I have installed Windows and the
ASP.Net beta. I can not access any aspx files from my web site (I get Page
cannot be found. 404). Is there some form of lockdown happening on the
default IIS web sites. Or have I missed something in the configuration. My

Ok, so we have a server running Win 2003 Server, and IIS 6.0. We have
successfully worked projects from this server using VS 1.1 on remote
development machines. We want to get started using VS 2005 against this
machine. We installed the .NET Framework 2.0 but were unable to get it to
work against VS 2005 Standard edition. We thought that installing VS 2005
Standard on the server might "straighten out" the situation but that didn't

Hi All
I have a vb.net Windows forms App which I am deploying with a VS.net 2005
deployment project
I have selected SQL Server express as a prerequisite and use the standard
SQL server express manifest file included with VS.net
If SQL server 2005 express is already installed on a computer when I run my
setup program the SQL server express setup still launches and runs for a
short period before finishing and my application setup begins

I have a VS 2005 SP1 Solution that contains multiple web and SSRS projects.
The Solutojn includes an images folder that is shared by all projects. The
default Development Server configuration seems to setup a Virtual Directory
on the Project level, thereby excluding the images folder. How can I setup
the Development Server so that projects have access to the images folder?

Hey all, I'm using a US robotics wireless router, and I want to connect a HP Color Laserjet 1600 to it for use as a network printer. I followed the directions from the USR website carefully (http://www.usr.com/support/5461/5461-files/printer_installation/index.html) and when I get to step #10 the wizard pops up an error saying "Windows cannot connect to the printer..." what am I doing wrong?
