Hello,
A lot of clipart libraries offer free raster images.
I am looking for a similar collection for vector graphics.
Do you know a gallery or archive for the following formats?
- Scalable Vector Graphics (*.svgz)
- Computer Graphics Metafile (*.cgm)

You'd better to post this question to the mailing list sv************@ yahoogroups.com.
I am sure there are some resources available.
Bye,
Flavio
Hi Markus,
Most vector clipart libraries have their graphics available in WMF
(Windows Metafile) and/or EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) formats. I'm
sure a Google search for 'vector clipart' will turn something up.
My company develops and markets software tools to batch convert vector
graphics to other file formats. We have both a ps2vector module and a
wmf2vector module, and output formats include both industry-standard
CGM (Computer Graphics Metafile) and XML-standard SVG (Scalable Vector
Graphics). The filters are available in desktop, server and developer
configurations on Windows, Linux and UNIX platforms. More info is at
the URL below. If interested, you're welcome to send me a couple of
sample from an EPS or WMF clipart library for testing.
Regards,
Jeroen Dekker

Yes, there is some advertisement. Only few sites are free so far.
Example: http://cartoonfiles.truhgoy.com/clipart/index.php
The page "http://librsvg.sourcef orge.net/links/" contains some useful
references for free SVG icons. This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

Hi. I've written an Open Source graphics library for Java called
Vector Visuals. It's completely free of cost, and is released under
the GNU Library General Public License (LGPL).
The project is hosted on SourceForge, but you can access all of the
important information about it here, which will forward you to its page
on my website:

SDXF is a Python library to generate DXF files. DXF is an abbreviation
of Data Exchange File, a vector graphics file format. It is supported
by virtually all CAD products (such as AutoCAD, Blender, 3Dstudio,
Maya,Vectorworks...) and vector drawing programs (such as Illustrator,
Flash, ...).
SDXF can generate complex CAD drawings (dxf format) with all kind of
entities (such as 3DFace, Arc, Insert, Circle, Line, Mtext, Point,
Polyline,...

I'm also interested in finding out more about using vector graphics when
designing the UI in Windows forms applications. I know a lot about GDI+ and
raster graphics, but vector graphics is a new subject for me. I'm also
preparing for Avalon and I've stumbled upon this in the meantime which seems
to be a pretty good idea of what Avalon will be like when it comes out:

I have found the following URL very useful:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/cpgenref/html/cpconnetframeworkdesignguidelines.asp
However, I would find it very useful to have a version of this information
in Word format so I can print it out. Does anyone know where I can find this?
Thanks!

Hi ppl,
I've already posted this message through the mailing-list, but it seems
it never arrived here. Strange... Anyway:
I need to render high-quality vector graphics with Python. I was
thinking of something like 'cairo', though I need to run under win32
and can't find a pycairo package for it. Suggestions?
Thanks,

I'd like to experiment a little bit with vector graphics in python.
When I say 'vector graphics' I don't mean regular old svg-style. I
mean vector game style as in simulation of vector beam drawn graphics.
If you still don't know what I'm talking about, see Grid Wars 2
(http://gridwars.marune.de/) or Battlezone
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlezone). I'm guessing I'd just be
drawing shapes with particle effects?
Anyway, I need help...

Hello,
What would be the best cross-platform GUI library to use for a vector

Tk, PyQt, Java Swing, Java SWT,???? I need the capibility to

is very important, and I need to save the drawings in vector based

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
