DOT NET 3.0 setting to install on Vista Home 32bit

Hello,

I need to install dot net 3.0 on Vista Premium Home 32 bit to use a
program example from Visual Studio 2005 Professional.

During install the message is that I need to have XP SP1 installed???

Have any of you managed to install dot net 3.0 on Vista?

Thank you,
Flemming

Thank you,

I noticed that. But an Visual Studio 2005 pro developed windows program
(I think developed on XP) can not see dot net 3.0 in Vista and requires
dot net 3.0
to be installed.

Any suggestions?

If you go into the Control Panel, and choose "Turn Windows Features On or
Off", do you see a checkbox for "Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0"? Try
checking it to see if the options are sufficient to get your app going.

Hello, I could really use some help. I'm trying to install a python program on centos4 x86_64. When I run 'python setup.py' it ends up in /usr/lib64/python2.3/site-packages/ instead of /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages. It's a problem because the program I'm trying to install is a dependency for something that is only 32bit. How can I specify a 32bit install? What I've tried so far: When I try 'python setup.py build --build-lib...

How do I influence the platform type during install? Could you look at this and tell me what I'm doing wrong? It's still using information from get_platform instead of using my preference. # python setup.py install --install-purelib=lib.linux=i686-2.3 --install-lib=/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages running install running build running build_py

A software I use requires .Net 1.1 to be instaled for it to work. However I am unable to install .Net 1.1 on my Vista Business. The installation will proceed smoothly until it reaches "Registering System.EnterpriseServices.dll" whereby the following window with the message will appear: RegSvcs.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services Process id=0xe50 (3664), Thread id=0xd44 (3396).

Hi, I am one of those questionable people that started with Vista (Home Premium). Not because I think it is a ready/steady OS, but partly out of curiousity, and partly because I needed to work on an old project that happens to run on IIS6/W2000/MSSQL7, but my W2000 machine couldn't handle the size of the database in question anymore. :-( My new Vista machine is 5 years younger and is a lot faster, so I started to figure out how to use...

Hi, I have a VB.Net application that I have recently upgraded from Visual Studio 2003 to Visual Studio 2005. The VB.Net app accesses Word and Excel. When I run the newly compiled VB.Net app on the Windows XP Pro system the app can interact with Word and Excel just fine. I'm pretty certain I have the correct Microsoft Word 11.0 Object Library and Microsoft Excel 11.0 Object Library references. All of my library references have Local Copy...

Dear all, I installed Vista SP1 on my Vista x64 Enterprise machine. Now my Visual Basic 2005 (.Net 2) does not behave correctly. It appears that 'for loops' have a problem of some sort. For example, I have a 'for loop' to fill a dropdown control with numbers from x to z. Now that dropdown stays empty. This behavior did not happen before SP1. I do not get any error messages. Everything works perfectly on WinXP. Anyone has any idea if...

After having worked with Apache/MySQL/PHP for a year or so under Linux I need, purely for convenience, to set up a parallel platform under Windows. Unfortunately, since I last did this (using Windows XP Pro) I've moved on to Windows Vista (Home Premium). MySQL and Apache2 have both installed satisfactorily, but I'm having problems with PHP5. I downloaded the PHP5 Windows installer (the .msi file) for 32-bit Windows, which is supposed...

I've picked up another laptop, I'm trying to get VS 08 pro on it, but it won't let me install the framework, every time it says (this OS doesn't support this version of the framework.) It's running Vista home premium at the moment, I can rip that off and put XP on if necessary, but surely that's not necessary? When it tries to install 3.5 it claims it can't find 2.0 sp1, So I downloaded that and it refused to install as per the above,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
