Toolkits for developing Web Services in C++

I'm new to Web Services. I want to develop WS in C/C++.
I've worked briefly in MS .NET and Borland C++ Builder 6.
But they both didn't work well with my applications as they use some
libraries developed in MS Visual C++ 6.0

So can anyone guide me about other WS toolkits that work fine with MS
VC++ 6.0?

It would also be of great help if you also comment on pros/cons of
these toolkits? And also a comment on how easy the are to handle and
work with.

Thanks ... zeest

I'd like to find/have a discussion about the various ways an application server could be implemented. So the upsides and downsides can be discussed. In case I'm using the term wrong by "app server" I mean a centralized "business information service" that could be readily accessed by client software. Initially this would be on a LAN but (like...

Is there any emerging consensus on the "best" UI for toolkit. Tk never quite made it but from what I can see, both qt and wxWin are both doing fairly well in general. I'm already aware of the licensing issues surrounding qt (fwiw, I think their license fee for commercial use is eminently reasonable), so aside from that, I was wondering if...

Hi all, I'm using Visual C# Express and Visual Web Developer Express. It just occured to me, that there seems to be no way to develop a web service to be consumed in VWD and use it in VC#, since the web service is run on a random port etc. Is this deliberate? An oversight? Any way around it? I develop on XP Home (sorry, laptop came with...

From the introduction to PyObjC, the Python-Objective-C bridge on Mac OS X: "As described in Objective-C for PyObjC users the creation of Objective-C objects is a two-stage process. To initialize objects, first call a class method to allocate the memory (typically alloc), and then call an initializer (typically starts with init). Some...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
