MS Access basic ... dropdown box to create specific list

Hi ... new Access user. I have a need to display a different list based on
the selection from a dropdown list. eg. dropdown options ... A,B, or C
Q1. I want a different list displayed depending on which option is selected.

Q2. Once the correct list is displayed, the user would then click (choose)
from the list and enter a number (eg. hours worked)

Q3. which must be totaled.

any help would be appreciated

There are lots of groups for Access, all starting with
"microsoft.publ ic.access.". Try one of those. This group is for general .NET
questions.

We have a dropdown combobox, where some of the text is wider than the textarea. I cannot set the width of the SELECT any higher due to design restrictions on the company website. When clicking the dropdown box, I want the textarea (which unfolds beneath the dropdown) to expand to the widest element of the options. I can see that Netscape does this automatically, but how would you do it in IE?

Hello all, Thanks for all your help in the past. To start off, I'm much more familiar with the web aspect of this stuff. So a DropDownList in the middle of a DataSet or Repeater is no big deal. But on the Windows Forms side of things I am curious if anyone can provide a quick basic example of how this might work. I've searched all over Google Groups and can't seem to find any clear examples.

We are running an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. Our network guy is upgrading to Windows Server 2003 and wants to upgrade Office and SQL Server at the same time. We're moving to SQL Server 2005, and, since he already has licenses for Office Pro 2002, he wants to upgrade to that. I've been saying that we need to upgrade to Access 2003, not 2002, even if Office is kept at 2002. We are also looking to do a fair amount of...

Hello All, I am creating a date base in access. I want to create a dropdown list box that is connected to another dropdown list box. You start with a dropdown list that has 5 choices and each of these choices will call another dropdown list box when one of the choices from the first gets selected. (I hope this makes sense) All of this is being done on a single form. I know how to make a (sub) dropdown list not seen before the action...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
