I am attempting to change the opacity of an image. I can modify opacity ok:
function flip(pic, opacity){
pic.style.filter = 'alpha(opacity='+opacity+')';
}
But I'm not familiar with javascript. How can I read the existing opacity
value?

Hi,
I wonder if it was possible to change the opacity of an image in a picturebox for example :
I try to make a splash screen that shows up images (one after one). But i would like to change the opacity of the images as the program loads itself... like a progressbar..
And is there a way to make the image b&w too?
Do I need a special library?
thx

I am writing a small script to fade the opacity of an image/object.
The script itself works fine only I do have some unwanted behaviour.
I do use a tablecell object and the mouseover/mouseout to activate the
script.
In the same cell are some links listed and when you move the cursor
over the links the image starts to flicker. This is because of the
getElementById that identifies each link as an object.
Anyone knows how I can solve...

Hello all,
I have an image that is set up like a table of smaller images. Instead
of just creating the smaller images separately and putting them
together with a table or CSS, I decided to just make one big image.
Now I'm starting to regret that because I need to be able to shade some
of the smaller images out depending on certain criteria. Is there any
way to have a transparent div of some sort that could be positioned
over the...

Greetings everyone,
I´ve developed a script to make a slideshow using a holder and the images you need. Just place the images you need within a holder, pass the holder ID to the script and its done!
the parameters are:
holder - id of the holder
speed - change this number to increase/increase speed (lower = faster)
width - width of the holder / images within
height - height of the holder / images within

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
