Could someone tell me how to make windows explorer in xp pro open to the
folder of my choice? I am tired of having to start from the desktop ,
computer, c:\
I would like it to open to the c:\"and what ever folder I want"
I had someone tell me how to do this in Vista, but when I try to apply these
same
settings to xp it almost work. One problem is you lose the left pane.
Thanks,
Doug 4 1201

"Open .Net Command Window Here" context menu for Windows Explorer:
The reg file described below adds a new menu item to Windows Explorer's
context menu when you right-click over a folder (or the drive root). The
menu item text is "Open .Net Command Window Here". When you click it, it
opens a command window positioned at that directory and runs the
vsvars32.bat file to set the .Net Framework environment variable settings.
This makes it...

Hi guys
The following code works just fine in Netscape on MacOS and Windows. But in
Explorer on MacOS and Windows it throws a type mismatch error at the point
marked with the comment ³// bug out at this point². (The functions that are
called, but not listed here work fine in both Netscape and Explorer in this
and other contexts, so I can confidently discount them as the source of any
error.)
I have also tried just a plain and simple...

Is there any way to check for open Explorer windows and if any are found,
tell Windows Explorer to close them. I don't want a brute force method of
killing Explorer and letting it restart. I'd prefer something a little less
drastic. I suspect what I'm going to need is some API call such as
SendMessage. Anybody have any suggestions?

I volunteer at a youth ministry agency and help them with their
student database. They have two computers, both running Windows XP.
Both have Office 2002 installed without Access, except that Computer A
had A97. They wanted both computers to be able to use the database,
stored on Computer A. I can't get them to do that, and it seems to be
a network problem.
I installed A2K on each computer, putting it in a special
directory which I...

Is there a way I can open Windows Explorer at a specific folder, size
the window, and position it in relation to the (already opened) Access
window? I have a client who wants this capability. It would be great
if I can do it inside an Access control, but I guess that's asking a
bit much?

Hey all.
I need to make the webbrowser control in a windows application open up
'My Computer' on a command, so the user can view all their own drives.
It can open up C:/ etc. and you can also navigate to 'My Computer'
from there. But I cannot seem to make it open up 'My Computer' on its
own. When I navigate to my computer from the browser manually the
address comes up as ::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}, and that
does not work...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
