.NET Alternative to SoapUI

Folks,

Does anyone know of a good, preferably free web services testing
utility written in .NET ? I used to have SoapUI and it worked OK (with
a horrible UI), but it stopped working on my reinstallation of XP :-(

I was looking around but couldn't really find much.....

I need to be able to hit any web service using a URL for the WSDL
file, and I need to be able to import a WSDL stored in a file (for
those web services that do not expose their WSDL automatically).

I'd like to be able to "compose" my requset to the web service in raw
XML format, send it off, and have a look at the results that come
back.

Does anyone know of such a tool for .NET ??

Thanks for any pointers!

soapUI works well on my XP SP2 system. Maybe you should try to uninstall it,
then reinstall the latest version. The reason for it to stop working
probably had nothing to do with the fact that it's a Java application.

It seems that the rotor module is being deprecated in 2.3, but there doesn't seem to be an obvious alternative. I'm using it just for obfuscation. It seems we have ssl available in 2.3 for sockets, but there seems no obvious way to use that from python code. Is an alternative to rotor planned? -- Robin Becker

There are a number of messages on the python-dev mail list that indicate that Guido is looking for some concensus to come from this list as to what *one* alternative syntax for decorators we would like him to consider in place of the @ syntax that is currently in 2.4a2. I think special thanks are due to: - Anthony Baxter for his continuing efforts in this regard - Steven Bethard for some of the clearest thinking and writing on this topic...

Hi, Is there a naming convention regarding alternative constructors? ie static methods where __new__ is called explicity. I use lower_case for methods in general, but thought maybe CamelCase would be better for alternative contstructors to distinguish them from methods... So which is better? c = Color.FromHtml(r, g, b)

I've read that as well as "normal" Java-like function definitions, e.g. int main(int argc, char **argv), you can also choose to use an alternative syntax, i.e. int main(argc, argv) int argc; char **argv; { .... }

Looks like it had to do with my breakpoints. It must have slowed my transaction time causing a timeout. It just appeared that SOAPUI wasn't returning a response. Thanks! Leafy --------- Hi Folks! When I call my web service via SOAPUI I'm not getting a response back. I'm not sure if its a SOAPUI thing or something in my code. Anyone have any recommendations?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
