my wife uses outlook web access, but recently it has stopped remembering the
password. even when the box "remember the password" is checked, it has to be
typed back in the next time it is used. i would appreciate any info you can

You'll get beter results if you ask in an Outlook group, rather than in this
..NET programming group.

As you appear to be using a web interface, start here to find an appropriate
group:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s/default.aspx

Click the + beside your language. then scroll down to Office and Desktop
Applications. In Office and Desktop Applications, open the Outlook category,
then find a group there to post in.

I've got RH9 Linux with default PHP. Is there a way to send email on Linux to an Exchange Server from PHP and/or other tools when there is *NOT* SMTP access? Has anyone figured out a way to use PHP to get inside an OWA (Microsoft Outlook Web Access) website to send email that way? The reason I ask is because my corporate office is going to do away with our rogue SMTP server access and force everything through Exchange

Hi We are developing an off-the-shelf software suite for a certain business sector. Most of the program is simply a GUI on top of some .mdb files. The Outlook contact folders are to be used for contact management I want to know what is the standard way to do this these days. Most of the information in MSDN seems rather old I first used the Outlook...

Hello all, Trying to write an application for my workplace that requires us to setup an email account in Outlook Express. At this time, the app sets the account up, enters a username, sets the 'remember password' selection, however I cannot seem to figure out how to store the actual password. I have researched for many hours now, and am at a loss. I have found that the password is actually stored in the following registry key:

Hi When I open a new outlook email from vb.net, sometimes outlook is very slow to appear or occasionally outlook freezes completely. I am targeting mixed office2000/xp environments so I am using the office2000 interop dlls generated by vs.net by adding office 2000 com reference. Any one else noticed this problem when targeting office2000/xp mixed environments? Is there a better, more robust way to do this? Am I better off using late...

We have an Outlook 2000 VBA application - 8 user forms, and about a thousand lines of code - that we wish to distribute. We know that we can password-protect the code, but that does not give us the desired level of security We plan to use VB.NET to create an executable file which we will distribute to our users. We have tested this, and it works. However, I've seen some references on various newsgroups indicating that this will not work,...

Hi, I'm trying to get my PHP scripts to email me an email which includes a button to enable a feature, which I'd like to be done via AJAX so the user can open the resulting page within their Outlook email rather than having to open a web browser. My script is below, however I'm slightly confused, because when run in Outlook or outside the webserver directory it won't work, but run inside, it will. Can someone explain what I'm doing...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
