Hi All!
We are doing new development for SQL Server 2000 and also moving from
SQL 7.0 to SQL Server 2000.
What are cons and pros for using IDENTITY property as PK in SQL SERVER
2000?
Please, share your experience in using IDENTITY as PK .

Is it possible to set up hotkeys using onkeypress? I know it can be
done with the usual alphanumeric keys, but what about function keys?
or using ctrl/alt combinations? Does anybody have a tutorial/guide?

My program in Access (Office 97/2000/XP/2003) opens a database (MAIN
MENU) with a listing of all databases in a directory. User selects
what database wants to open, and program opens it. I am not just
reading data from it, I open/run it and forms created in it, can be
used by user (MAIN MENU closes).
From MAIN MENU I have the following for opening a specific database:
SendKeys "%F{DOWN}" 'ALT F
SendKeys "{ENTER}" 'Open Window opens

I hope that there is someone who can help me. I have written a
process to entirely automate a sequence of web pages. It works great
and I spent a ton of time on it since I am a novice C# programmer.
I'm at the final step in the submission process and it requires a file
upload using an input of type FILE. I know that that particular field
is read-only. There must be a way however to get the name of the file
to the upload process. I...

Hi,
I have been using my vb.net for 2 years now, basically for database
application.
I have a client who lost is password for the mimer database and nobody
knows. So assuming if the password is less than 6 chars, i would like to
brute force it. Since this is a new approach for me, i would like to know
how to write a program.

I'm buidling some simple macro functionality for my app so the users can record a sequence of keyboard inputs and replay them reliably via some menu.
Originally, I used:
protected override bool ProcessCmdKey(ref Message msg, Keys keyData)
To map "Keys" objects to their string constant, and stored them on a string Queue as they were happening. Then (after resetting the form), I simulate replaying of these actions by flushing the queued...

KeyDown won't work KeyPress fails KeyDown not seen
inspired by a poster here:http://tinyurl.com/62d97l I found some
interesting stuff, which I reproduce below for newbies like me.
The main reason you would want to do this is for example to trigger
something from an OnPaint event without resorting to boolean switches--
say if a user presses the "M" key while the program is Painting, the
user gets the PaintHandler to do something else. ...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
