I have a date text box (input type = text) in an ASP.NET/Javascript
environment. I wanted to force the users to enter dates in a
"__/__/____", "dd/mm/yyyy" or similar format. The textbox needs to
support normal copy/paste/delete format. There wasn't much on Google
to help so (after a bit of toil) though I'd post my suggested solution
here. No guarantees I'm afraid; just hope it helps somebody out there.

Here's the ASP source code:

Hello all...I'm new to the board. I have a problem that I hope someone here
might be able to solve for me.
I am doing some clientside validation using Javascript. The text I am
testing is within a textbox that is part of a datagrid. To complicate
things, the datagrid is part of a user control. The following code is all
part of the user control.
The validation part of the script works fine. However, when I try to set
the focus...

Hello.
Say I have a .net textbox that uses a .net regularexpressionvalidator.
If the regular expression fails, is it possible to launch a small
client side javascript function to do something, such as change the
border color of the textbox to red? That would look quite nice: if
the expression fails, the red validator text is shown, plus the
textbox's border goes red.
TIA,

Hi there
I'm having a little bit of a problem with my customvalidator control.
The problem is the javascript runs fine on my local webserver IIS but
not when I post it to the web hosting server. As it is client side
scripting I'm suprised that this is the case as I'm using the same
browser IE6 and the same machine to access both. I've included the
code below.
Can anyone help . I've tried lowering all the security settings for
intranet...

I have a problem that sounds simple but seems impossible with asp.net.
I calculate a variable in the Page_Load event, call it X. Then I want
my range validators to fire when a textbox value is greater than X.
They should give an error message, both as a messagebox and inline in
the page. I can't get the range validators to use X. I get syntax
errors when I try. I tried Custom Validators and got the same problem.
So now I want to try...

Hello,
We have an ASP.NET 2.0 (C#) web form that contains a textbox for users to
enter multiple e-mail addresses separated by semicolons. We need to
validate that each individual e-mail address entered is a valid e-mail
address format. We've added a CustomValidator to perform this validation.
We have the server-side validation working fine, but now we need to add some
client-side validation via JavaScript. We are having difficulties...

Hi,
I have a form for uploading documents and inserting the data into a mysql
db. I would like to validate the form. I have tried a couple of Javascript
form validation functions, but it appears that the data goes straight to the
processing page, rather than the javascript seeing if data is missing and
popping up an alert. I thought it may be because much of the form is
populated with data from the db (lists, etc.), but when I leave...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
