Hi Folks,
well I have this "small" problem with the footertemplate in a
datalist.
I added a button and a textbox to update the db with the given String
of the Textbox.
I already searched for it and know now, that I have to place the
handling in Itemcreated. So when I click on the button everything is
fine except when the sub "createSubject" is called, then I get an
"Object reference not set" error.

This should be relatively simple but I am unable to find an asp:button tag in
a datalist footer. I have tried it numerous ways including the FindControl
method from the many events that the DataList exposes and the result is
always null (I've determined the OnItemDataBound event will not find the
footer controls). I understand that I have to navigate the datalist object
tree, but I feel like it is a guessing game and am hesitant to do it...

I have a problem here with bounding data inside a datalist.
Currently I am working on a page which I can have a list of items
using a datalist(listA). Inside this datalist(listA) i would like to
bound with another datalist(listB) so I am able to list items in listB
based on the unique value on listA.
here's the code that I kinda have...

Hi all,
I created a DataList on a WebForm, and I want to have a separate delete
button at the bottom of the page. I can create a event handler for the
delete button and delete the selected item and re-bind the DataList.
That's working fine. But just curious, how can I tie the delete button
to the DeleteCommand of the DataList? I tried setting the delete
button CommandName property to "Delete", but it won't go to the
DataList...

I have a menu system composed of a DataList nested inside a DataList.
The outer DataList has it's DataSource (composed of a DataSet with two tables
linked by a CategoryPagesRelation Relation) set in the Page_Load.
The inner DataList has its DataSource set in the ascx file as:
<asp:DataList ID="PageList" runat="server" CellPadding="3" CellSpacing="0"
DataSource='<%#...

A ASPX page has a DataList control with a few Labels. This page also
has a CheckBox which resides OUTSIDE the DataList. By default, this
CheckBox is checked. If the CheckBox is checked, then the Labels
existing in the DataList should be visible but if the CheckBox is
unchecked by the user, the Labels inside the DataList should be made
invisible.
How do I do this?
Note that the AutoPostBack property of the CheckBox has been set to

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
