I have a full version of Visual Basic 6 and upgrade versions of Visual Studio
2002, 2003, and 2005. What is the easiest way to do the install? I know in
the past, I have done Visual Basic 6, then the 2002 upgrade, then the 2003
upgrade, then the 2005 upgrade. Do I have to perform all of these steps ? 4 1941
does the upgrade version of 2005 come with a product key?

You should be able to just install 2005 and enter the product key without
having to install the over versions.

Hi,
I've installed (by that I mean a full uninstall and re-install) Visual
Studio 2005 at least twice on my 64-bit windows machine (AMD64). I make
sure I install the SDK 2.0 for x64, and the installation is completed
'Succesfully' as per the setup dialogs.
However, when I try to open the IDE by clicking on the shortcut, or
attempting...

Hello,
I'm having some problems installing Visual Studio 2005.
I'll briefly explain what's the history of the problem here.
First I installed VS 2005 beta 2.
I uninstalled it later via the Windows Uninstall Tool you can download.
Then I installed Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition ENU. This was a trial
version for 180 days.

I haven't seen anyone mention it here yet so I thought it would be worth
noting that MS has apparently released VS 2005 Service Pack 1. It's
available at:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=BB4A75AB-E2D4-4C96-B39D-37BAF6B5B1DC&displaylang=en
A bit of a big download, but hopefully it will be worth it.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
