dumpbin and pdb file

I am getting the following messages while using dumpbin:

Dump of file kernel32.dll

File Type: DLL
PDB file 'D:\8j7\sym\ker nel32.pdb' checked. (23)
PDB file 'D:\8j7\sym\ker nel32.pdb' checked. (23)
PDB file 'D:\8j7\sym\sym bols\dll\kernel 32.pdb' checked. (

PDB file 'D:\8j7\sym\dll \kernel32.pdb' checked. (23)
PDB file 'D:\8j7\sym\ker nel32.pdb' checked. (23)
PDB file 'C:\WINDOWS\sym bols\dll\kernel 32.pdb' checked. (23)
PDB file 'C:\WINDOWS\dll \kernel32.pdb' checked. (23)
PDB file 'C:\WINDOWS\ker nel32.pdb' checked. (23)

Do above messages mean searching for the pdb file failed?
I use "symchk" to get pdb of kernel32.dll and have put it at "D:\8j7\sym \".
A copy of kernel32.dll is also at this directory.

The command line is:
dumpbin.exe /pdbpath:verbose kernel32.dll

Thanks for your information.

I have compiled some code, some written by me, some compiled from various sources online, and basically i've got a very simple flat file photo gallery. An upload form, to upload the photos and give them a caption, storing the caption and filename in a text file. It's a bit buggy when removing the photos and captions from the file, and also in displaying them on the delete page. you can see it in action at www.4am.com.au/gallery/upload.php...

Hi There, I have a PHP script that sends an email with attachment and works great when provided the path to the file to send. However this file needs to be on the same server as the script. I want to develop a webpage where people can send attachments that are stored on their local PC.

I am pretty much lost here - I am trying to create a managed c++ wrapper for this dll, so that I can use it from c#/vb.net, however, it does not conform to any standard style of coding I have seen. It is almost like it is trying to implement it's own COM interfaces... below is the header, and a link to the dll+code: Zip file with header, example, and DLL:...

I have created an IHttpHandler that waits for uploads as attachments for a webmail interface, and saves it to a directory that is defined in config.xml. My question is the following: assuming that this is suppossed to end up as a component for others to use, and therefore I do NOT have access to their global.cs::Session_End() how do I cleanup files that were uploaded -- but obviously left stranded when the users aborted/gave up writting...

According to dumpbin, my extern "C" __stdcall'ed functions are not decorated... According to depends they are not decorated... According to the documentation, (and previous releases of vc++), they should be... Is this expected? I know extern "C" should imply no name decorating but its never been the case before. Thanks

Hello everyone, Could dumpbin be used to check whether an executable or a DLL (written in Visual Studio C/C++ native unmanaged) is debug version or release version? I use /headers option but can not see any differences. If dumpbin can not be used to check debug or release, any other tool could be used?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
