VB.net - APP - Extracting data from an external window

1 New Member
I had previously created an app that used an IE browser control to load our company "case managment" web app. The application would pull information from the loaded case and would use this information to create an email to the customer.

Our company has since changed case managment solutions, and the new one will not allow itself to be loaded in the IE control.

Is there a way to grab the html of a loaded page in an external browser window to parse in my new application so that it can pull the needed info to generate the emails we need to send.

I use to use window handles and API to do this type of stuff in VB6, but would like to findo out if there is a clean way to do this in .net I am new to vb.net and have not found anything via googling that could help me, so I am running to the experts

hey, I need some ideas, suggestions for a task I am working at work these days. We want to do that in C or C++. I have several tables from a database (Oracle). I need to extract data from these tables, and then convert it into an XML file. We are now working on the TAGS that will compose this XML file and the mapping, that is the corresponding extracted data, associated to the TAGS.

I'm trying to open a popup window and then set some data, but I can't seem to make it work. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. popwin = document.open('mypop.html', \"external\", \"width=\" + w +\",height=\" + h + \",resizable=no,scrollbars=no,status=yes,location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no\"); popwin.document.data.user=user; mypop.html has a <form name=data> with an element named "user" in it. Essentially, I want to be able to pop...

Hello: I was not able to find a regular ASP group, so I posted this here instead. I have a web app which is actually just ASP using VBScript as the server-side language, running on IIS6. Users will log into the site and enter in large amounts of data in forms and submit this data to be saved to the database. Problem is, sometimes they submit the data after the session has timed out. This makes them very angry when they have just...

Hello, I am wondering about including binary files in my MS Access database application. I want to keep my application as just a single MDE or MDB file, but the users of the app may need some additional files. One file is an ODBC driver for connecting to an external database, this is a 120 kb DLL. The other is a 20 kb PDF help document for using the database application. I am wondering if it is possible to store these files within...

I know very little javascript. Nonetheless, I found some example code that opens links into a new window if they contain "external" on the "rel attribute. For example: <a href="http:example.com" rel="external">this link opens in a external window</a> I later hacked the code so it works it "nofollow" is added to the "rel" attribute like: <a href="http:example.com" rel="external nofollow">this link opens in a external window with nofollow</a> ...

Hello :) The result of various incompatibilities has left me needing to somehow extract the address that a null pointer is pointing to with the null pointer being exposed to python via PyCObject_FromVoidPtr the code that creates the PyCObject is as follows: tmp = PyCObject_FromVoidPtr (info.info.x11.display, NULL); PyDict_SetItemString (dict, "display", tmp); Py_DECREF (tmp);

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
