Hiding the Error Message when that field is not needed

1 New Member
I have two options yes and no in option button

when the user select the option yes it has two textbox with required field validator if value is entered no pbm otherwise error message will be displayed .

if the user select no option a list of textbox with loginname, passw ord, emailId etc
are displayed with required field validator is used.

my problem is when the user select the yes option and enters the values for the two textbox and click the next button the required field validator option given for the No option also displays the error message in the validation summary.

But it should not be displayed only the corresponding field validation should be done according to the option button selected

There is a validating event that gets thrown right?
Have it check to see if the corrosponding option is selected before deciding if it should continue with the validation?

On a windows-based application I just disabled (enable=false) the requiredfield validators I *don't* want to fire. You sound like you're doing a webpage though and I don't know if that works.

Hi there, I am having difficulty with a piece of code which would work wonders for my application if only the error trapping worked properly. Basically, it works as follows: - adds records from rsSource into rsDest - if it finds a key violation then it deletes the current record from rsDest and adds the new record from rsSource. This works perfectly - but only for the first found duplicate record, it brings up the error

I am trying to hide all my datalistitems, which contain labels, textboxes a datagrid, etc. I want to show each datalist item one at a time on the page as the user pages through it. I tried: for each oItem as DataListItem in DataList1.Items oItem.Visible = false And that doesn't seem to work.

I was thinking about developing a workflow application yesterday and was musing over the different approaches than one could take in restricting specific actions on a ticket( Form ) at any said stage. One approach I have used on other systems is to prevent the action buttons appearing. For example, if one did not have the Role of Administrator, one would be prevented from deleting a ticket not created by oneself. However, it did occur...

Hi, first, python is one of my fav languages, and i'll definitely keep developing with it. But, there's 1 one thing what I -really- miss: data hiding. I know member vars are private when you prefix them with 2 underscores, but I hate prefixing my vars, I'd rather add a keyword before it. Python advertises himself as a full OOP language, but why does it miss one of the basic principles of OOP? Will it ever be added to python?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
