A value calculated inside a script runs at server after the click event from user

2 New Member
I have a dom tree in asp with jscript(same kind of treeview in .net). when user clicks on it , I pass the id to a hidden field and update it with ajax. The main page has one if clause to get the condition of hidden field and proceed. This if caluse fetches the data from data base and generates path to root of the clicked node. The path is stored on a server side value.

The path is calulated inside a server side script(run at server) and client never knows about it. So I cant get the value to my client side.

I need to use this value to update the value of a text box. No posting can be done as the user might have entered other input fields and text boxes. So I would not lose those data. I have one button and onclick it may update the text field. But how do I pass the server side value to client side.. I mean to a button click event or to update a textbox.

BTW, why can't you submit the form and refill all of the inputs according to what the user has inputted?

Hi, (Access 97) On my Menu form I have a button (cmdRefreshLinks) that refreshes/changes the linked tables in my database, and a calculated control (txtDataSource) that uses a custom function to display the location of the back-end database. (This is all done using Dev Ashish's 'Relink Tables' code from http://www.mvps.org/access/tables/tbl0009.htm.)

Can somebody tell me what would be the syntax for having an if statement and setting the selected index of a radiobuttonlist? This is my first project using ASP.net and I use C#. I have a repeater with like a table layout and in the last column I want to have three radio buttons (for each row in repeater). The value of the radio button should be calculated from a value from the dataset. How can I do that? When I try to use a variable...

I had a beautiful script that was running, well, just beautifully. But then I decided to take a button that fired an event and place it inside a <asp:table. The event WILL NOT FIRE INSIDE THE TABLE!?! When I move the button outside the table, it works just fine. Inside the table, it doesn't. What gives?

I am changing an existing quiz found on "JavaScriptKit.com Multiple Choice Quiz" I have an image. When the user clicks on the correct hotspot or place on the image, it should score and retain that value until the end of the quiz. At the end of the quiz, there is a submit button...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
