Hello,
I have a datagrid and the data in it is dynamically created at runtime...
For iCounter = 0 To dataset.Tables(0).Columns.Count - 1
Dim objbc As New BoundColumn()
With objbc

I posted this on the asp.net group, also. I wasn't sure whether this was an
asp.net problem or a javascript problem.
I have a page that was originally created from a program I found on the net
that works well as an html page.
It brings up a modal popup window that I have been trying to work out for
days now and this was the closest I have been able to come.
I added a little asp.net code and an asp.net button and cannot get it to

Hi,
I have a datagrid with a Templated column below. I want to execute some javascript before the postback to show a hidden "div" tag with static message of "Please Wait..." since the query takes a few seconds. The js function simply sets the css style to display.
<asp:TemplateColumn>
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:LinkButton Runat="server" CommandName="Select" ID="lbtnCompanyName">
<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "CompanyName")%>...

I'm new to ASP.NET and I'm not use to the way things are handled with
this technology. I've been told that when I have a control, I should
only bind the data to it once, and not on each post back (basically
have the data binding done in the If NOT IsPostBack Then statement).
How come? How does this information get preserved?
Which raises another question. Becuase I want to get away from the
spaghetti code approach, I would like to create...

I am trying to set up a Javascript popup box that has a way of sending back
a message to asp.net on how to process some data.
At the moment I am just doing:
myNextButton.Attributes.Add("onclick", "return confirm('Are you sure you
want finish this test?');")
to attach a popup box to a button. The problem is that the buttons only say
OK and Cancel. OK will take me to the event tied to the button and Cancel,

I have a web page writen in ASP.NET that contains some javascript so that
when a user presses a button, or edits a certain field in a datagrid, another
cell in the datagrid is filled with a value.
My probelm.... when I have the user press the update button (which does a
post back that loops through the datagrid and updates a database) the
field/cell that is filled by the javascript appears to be blank in my update
code, even though I can...

We have an update panel that has a gridview with checkboxes and other
items in each row. We went to the RowCreated event in the codebehind,
to set an attribute on a checkbox in each row, to execute a particular
javascript function (client-side). THis is supposed to work. I've
done it hundreds of times otherwise, but never in an update panel
(until now).
It doesn't work. I put an alert in the top of my javascript function,
and it never...

ASP.NET
I have an application which use ASP.NET Autocomplete extender which works
great. But I have a question how to update all the fields on the screen
using Ajax.
Users starts typing in a text field which causes the Autocomplete extender
to display 10 like items, after the users selects an item (which is a key in
the database) I want the application to go to the database retrieve a record
and populate the fields.

JavaScript in ASP.NET
Using JavaScript in ASP.NET pages can make your application seem to work faster and prevent unnecessary calls to the server. JavaScript can be used to perform client-side functionality in the user's browser without having to make calls back to the server; thus, saving resources.
The following example demonstrates how you can use an ASP.NET button to trigger a JavaScript call which modifies an ASP.NET TextBox.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
