When I try and publish my project with Vb .NET Express Beta 2, the setup
program that is created comes up with the error:
Unable to continue, the application is improperly formatted. Please contact
the application vendor.
Many people seem to have this problem, and it was supposed to be fixed in
Beta 2. I've tried using the signing tool (which doesn't work) and Strong
Names, and the Publish pane in the Project Properties instead of the...

I have C# 2005 Express installed on a PC that is unconnected to the internet;
therefore the copy is unregistered.
I cannot see the Publish option under the Build menu option.
Is this a penalty for not registering?
Or is it that C# is not correctly installed?
Any insights? Thanks.

I am trying to publish my VB6.0 app using the MS article "Automatically
Updatng Visual Basic 6 Applications: Part I, By Scott Swigart.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/default.aspx?pull=/library/en-us/dnvs05/html/AutoUpdatVB6apps.asp
I am configured as recommended in the article (VB 6.0, VB 2005 Exp.,
..NET Framework 2.0 on XP Pro.)
And it works just fine on my local system.
The problem is when I publish to my remote website.

I've tried to publish my VB Express 2005 application to a web site.
The publish process completes successfully, and I can fire up the ..../publish.htm page from the web site with no problem. There is a button on the install page hyperlinked to ....Myapp.application When I click on that button, the browser simply displays the XML content of Myapp.application and the installation effort stops there.
Any throughts?

For about a month now, I have had trouble with Outlook Express. When logging
in to Outlook Express, I get an error message stating that the connection to
server has failed. My internet connection works (same server), but Outlook
Express is unable to connect. If I restart the computer, Outlook Express
will then be able to connect; so eventually I can use it but I must reboot
every time. I have checked with my ISP and they say there is no...

When I run the setup.exe file that is created I get the following error: "WindowsApplication1 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
The setup does place a shortcut in my programs menu, although it doesn't work. ...

Hey guys, I've tried and tried to find a walk thru that works. Since I am using VS C# 2008 express, i am using clickonce deployment. I am targeting the 2.0 framework as I am not using any 3.5 features.
Here is my issue and questions:
1) I have a c# program that I would like to publish to my website (it does NOT have front page extensions, nor do I plan to use them). Should I publish to a file path and then copy the files over to my...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
