Ok I have XP Pro and recently upgraded to SP2 but after doing so one of my
favorite webpages to check daily does not respond the same as before.
It used to be (pre SP2) that I could when visiting this page
http://facs.scripps.edu/surf/buoylist.html When I ran my mouse over the
green CDIP buoys that it would not only show the current data in the upper
part of the summary, but if I clicked on the Dana Point green bar for
instance it would...

The following is a first attempt to almost create a shell script for
installation of ATLAS and LAPACK. It does not work right now and it is
specific to a particular platform. It is posted here to archive it and
throw into the public domain, maybe others will find it useful. It is
at least a documentation of some relevant notes on the procedure.
Corrections and updates would be really appreciated. Alternatives to
automate this process...

I don't know whats the problem, but after I added functions
to first verify, then relink linked tables if not found,
now I can't convert that database to MDE format.
I can split the database, but can't convert
part of the database with forms, reports, queries to MDE format.
Can somebody advice on this?

Hello:
I have an app that has been running for several months, but
after installing SP4 on the Win2k server, it would no
longer run.
First I had a TemplateControl parser exception when the
server tried to compile and run the ASPX page. (Which runs
fine on my workstation).

We have just re-installed the OS on our development web server and are now
receiving security errors when attempting to browse to our .Net applications.
Server cannot access application directory ''. The directory
does not exist or is not accessible because of security settings.
We have made sure that the ASPNet user has Read/List/Execute access to this
folder, and have even bumped it up to full control to see if that fixes the
problem...

I have an app that was originally 1.1, now migrated to 2.0 and have run into
some sporadic viewstate errors...usually saying the viewstate is invalid,
eventvalidation failed or mac error.

Hello thezre,
I recently installed the SP1 of visual studio, just before releasing a new
version of my application. And I never though that this SP1 could change
something fondamental in the final executables and DLLS, but it happened.
All my C++ Dlls can not be loaded anymore on other machines that my current
development machine.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
