I want to disable the parent tree nodes

or be able to tell if the selected treenode is a parent node. I have
looked at .gettype but how do i check it against something like
treeview1.getty pe = treeview.nodes. parentnode

I use my treeview to select a childnode and then populate a textbox
with a value for the node. but when the Parent node is selected I
don't want o be able to change the value of it.

Thanks.

I guess you really want to know if it is the 'root' node. You can check the
Parent property for null like

if (MyNode.Parent= =null)

Hi all, I am trying to write a Binary Search Tree that each of its node will have 3 node pointers: left, right and parent. I need a parent pointer for some the purpose of my project. Without the pointer to the parent node, the program will be inefficient and slow. It works fine at first. However, when I started to build the remove function, it destroys the tree when I delete a node. I already changed the parent pointer whenever I delete a...

How do I get a TreeNode.Parent property when using the 2.0 TreeView control? When the data source is an XML file there may be redundant names in the tree. For example, when a child node with the value of 'name' is selected I don't have a clue how to get the name of its parent which may be 'person' or 'school.' <%= Clinton Gallagher

Hi, I would to have a tree view control with check boxes in which the parent and child nodes interacts, in the way that you normally see this occuring. Checking the parent node automatically checks all its children node. Conversely, if one of the child nodes is unchecked, the parent node unchecks. Is there a property of the treeview that will automatically do this for me or do I need to roll my own? Thanks, Bob

This is C code. I am trying to fill each node's Parent field with its parent because I am drawing nodes to the screen. However, I have not been able to get this working. Reading the output from the code and tracing it, it seems that the code does not continue recursing down into the tree to insert. Can someone please point me to what is wrong and help me understand why it is wrong? Thank you. struct AvlNode* Insert( gint X, struct AvlNode*...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
