the binary search tree node here contains another structure as it's
data field,
programs did successfully work when data field is int, char, this time
i got stucked, don't know why ? if there's something to do with
dynamic data object ?
thanx for your help.

Hi,
Given a singly linked, null terminated list, how can it be converted to
tree? Each node in the list has three attributes: it's ID, it's parent
ID and of course, the next node it's pointing to. The parent id of root
of the tree is 0. The length of list is not known. What will be the
optimal solution?
Node* convertToTree(Node* listHead);

I'm looking for a C/C++/Java library to create a balanced binary tree
data structure given a set of leaf nodes as input. A leaf node should
never become an interior node.
So if I wish to create a tree that will have a,b,c & d as leaf nodes -
this tree will contain nodes other than a,b,c & d as interior nodes:
e.g.

Hi all,
I'm trying to do a binary search and collect some stats from a text
file in order to compare the processing times of this program (binary
searching) versus an old program using linked lists. I'm totally new
to binary searches by the way. Can anyone help me with the commented
sections below? Much of the code such as functions and printfs has
already been completed. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I have a binary tree in VB NET and insertions seem to be slow.
The program receives data from one source and inserts it into the tree.
The program receives data from another source and looks the data up in the
tree.

I have two classes, a Node class and a Bstree class. The Bstree class
contains a pointer to a Node class as one of its private members. Now I
need to build a binary search tree from multiple objects of the Node
class. I have a function addNode which is defined as follows
void Bstree::addNode ( Node **start, int val )
{
if( *start == NULL ) //if bst empty
{
*start = new Node ( val );

It's quite simple to walk to the DOM tree going forward however I can't
figure out a nice clean way to walk the DOM tree in reverse. Checking
previousSibling is not sufficient as the previousSibling could be a
node which has childNodes and therefore the 'true' previousSibling
would be the *deepest* lastChild of the previousSibling...
For example, given this graph:
1 myAnchor nodeType 1
2 myAnchorText1 nodeType 3

Hi All,
I need a tree data structure for my application. It is the non -cyclic
simple tree where i can have any number of children node and each
child can recursively become a sub tree like a normal tree. Now the
thing is i can popullate my tree at compile time like a global data.
Since
i know my tree definition at compile time, instead of using pointers
to point to siblings or child nodes, i am planning to use the array
with...

ONU (Optical Network Unit) is one of the key components for providing high-speed Internet services. Its primary function is to act as an endpoint device located at the user's premises. However, people are often confused as to whether an ONU can Work As a Router. In this blog post, we’ll explore What is ONU, What Is Router, ONU & Router’s main usage, and What is the difference between ONU and Router. Let’s take a closer look !
Part I. Meaning of...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
