We have LOADS of documents scanned to PDF format, stored
in SQL tables.
Allowing a client to browse our ASP driven site to select
and view individual PDFs has been no problem. ("index"
table is queried to show list of available PDFs, user
clicks a link in the list, PDF reader shows the document
in a new window.)
Now, they would like a feature that would PRINT (at their
location) batches of documents via the website,

Hi,
I found this code that can solve a problem I have. It sends print direct to
printer.

Are there any real alternatives to ActivePDF? We've have a version (might be
a bit outdated) that we've used off and on, but it's reliability seemed
sporadic at best. (but, maybe that was the way the software was
installed/maintained on our end...)
What we'd like to do is have some sort of software that will accept a Word
(or Office) document and convert it to PDF on the server. Ideally handling a
few things like accessibility settings...

Hi-
I've seen this problem discussed a jillion times but I cannot seem to
implement any advice that makes it work. I am porting a large project from
VB6 to .NET. The issue is using the combo box bound to a table as a lookup,
drawing values from another table to populate the available selections. This
all worked fine in VB6.
I have distilled the problem down to a simple form drawing data from the
Northwind database for a representative...

Hi --
I'm creating a form in ASP.NET 2.0 (and I'm brand new to .NET). And if the
person is new, then I want a blank form to appear and the person will fill
all that info in. This works!
What I'm having trouble with is if the person is an existing member of the
site and wants to change their info. I want to have the same form as the new
member sees but I want all the fields (text boxes, drop downs, etc.) to be
pre-filled in with...

Hello,
currently we encounter several huge memoryproblems running .NET C#
Applications under Windows Terminal Servers/Citrix. Sometimes the program
claims 100 MB which is not very much at a single PC but a pain in the ass at
a Terminalserver when 20-25 Users start the program (25*100 = 2500 MB).
We made some analysis:

Hello,
We are using ActivePDF toolkit to generate reports in our web
application. We are using ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2005.
We are able to open the pdf files on our local development box with out
any problem. But having problems on the production server.
When we moved our application to the production serrver we made sure
that we copied the
production version of the APToolkitNET.dll to our project BIN directory

I've spent the last few minutes searching for this question and I
found an answer, but it wasn't quite what the client wanted.
I have a simple online form where the user needs to fill out five
fields out of nine. The other four are already there and filled out
for the user. When they hit submit, all data is sent to us.
But, if they desire (for whatever reason) the user can possibly delete
what is already there and fill in something...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Adolph will...
