Hi,
I have a crystal reports hosted on the IIS as web service. Everything works fine except that I can not access the database other than the one on which the report originally created.
I am using the LogOnInfo of the viewer to set the user name, password, database location and server names
But the following kb article says 'When using the viewer's LogOnInfo collection, you are unable to change the database/table information for a report...

Hi,
In 7.4, I noticed there is this ::1 and ffff: (x8 of them)
for IPv6.
I looked at the documentation and there is nothing that says
what the ::1 is for.
Commenting out that line will prevent access to PostgreSQL
from psql unless I put trust for that line.

If I use Visual Studio.Net 2003 to generate "web references" for clients
using either sproxy.exe (for C++) client or wsdl.exe (for C#) clients, the
web service endpoint gets "baked" into the generated code, making it
difficult, if not impossible, to change the server that the client connects
to at runtime.
e.g. sproxy.exe generated code that looks like this ...
static const _soapmap __CCluProvider_GetCertificate_atlsoapheader_map =

Hello,
I have a project that contains a WebService that works great when connecting
to it on my Localhost. Once we post the files to the test web server, all of
the pages that do not touch the webservice work fine. However, the ones that
do touch it get the following error:
The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found
Here is the full error:

I'm running into a repeatable oddity in porting a bunch of ASPNET1.1 websites to ASPNET2. Calls like this:
MapPath("/path/fromroot")
result in exceptions under ASPNET2, but worked fine under ASPNET1.1.
Changing the calls to:
MapPath("~/path/fromroot")

In VS2003 (VB) I am trying to open a solution that contains a couple web
projects. It was zipped from another developer's machine and sent to me. I
unzipped it a folder on my C drive and placed a WindowsXP Web Share on the
folder. I can access the webshare by typing in http://localhost/dmedibiz.
However, when I open the solution and it tries to open the Web Project
parts, it says "Contacting Web Server to Open Web Project, followed by an...

I can't seem to change the include path on my local winmachine no

I modified php.ini in the c:\wamp\php directory to reflect the actual

Hi,
How could I change a WCF client endpoint address programatically? The client
is generated by Visual Studio. The purpose of doing this is to use different
service address under different configuration.
Thanks.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
