Hi

Thanks for replying back. I had already gone thru this article but there are some limitiation with this approach as this approach uses serial potrs and rs232 ports concepts.

Nowadays some new computers didnt contain RS232 ports and communication thru serial ports is slow.

I am looking for usb wedge scanners or readers. Where scans should be automated thru Tabs or Return keypreses

PLEASE HELP IF U HAVE SOME FURTHER INFORMATION ABUT IT.
I WILL BE THANKFUL TO U.

With Regards

What are the most popular, and well supported, libraries of drivers for bar code scanners that include a Visual Basic and C/C++ API? My requirements are: - Must allow an application to be written to a single interface, but support many different manufacturers' barcode scanning devices. I do not want to be tied to one manufacturers' software interfaces. - Must support use of the scanner from Visual Basic, and ideally from C/C++ and...

Using VB6, I want to read barcode data into an Access 2000 DB. What do you get when you read a barcode? Text or numbers. How do you define the field were the data would be stored? Thanks in advance, Tom D.

I posted yesterday about a project I'm involved in to build a login application using a barcode scanner. I've solved most of the problems, but one remains. The client want to disable keyboard input (except at some remote sites where there won't be a scanner). The session "knows" whether that site should be keyboard enabled, but unfortunately the output from the scanner is in the form of keypresses! So any attempt to capture and...

Hello everyone I have to impliment a new barcode system in a warehouse. Meaning i have to replace pre-existing sacnners and the middleware that feeds into a SQL database. The Wifi coverage within the warehouse, is not a problem. The warehouse uses High Gain antennas at 2.4GHz on the 802.11b standard from a number of Acess Points. These AP's operate on a Ethernet based network with TCP/IP as the communication standard The scanner that...

Greetings, I would like to integrate a barcode scanner into the current project I am working on. I have been looking around teh web and with the exception of embeded devices I cannot find many programming guides. What I am looking for is a barcode scanner with an api/sdk. I am not interested in using a keyboard wedge because I do not want my end user to have to deal with making sure the cursor is in the right place. As it needs to...

Hello I am using a symbol 6608 scanner and I am trying to scan a 2D barcode. The fields in the barcode are seperated by a carront (^) as the delimiter btw the fields. I am stuck on how to code the the Access database to reconize this and place the text in the correct fields. For example below is the raw data Jon^Smith^Jr^ABC Company^Marketing Manager^123 Street^Suite 200^City^State^Zip^Country^Phone^Fax^Email I want to be able to to take...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
