Hello all
I've a problem, I need to develop a component to connect a web
service for
sending SMS. The web service it's not implemented in .NET.I need to use basic
authentication (at least that is what I've been told). The most strange thing
is that when I add the web reference in Visual Studio .NET I'm not asked for
authentication. Apart from this, it's the web service who tells me I'm not
authenticated
instead of the server.

Hi All,
we have an asp.net application which is consuming a third party java
web service.In order to access the web service a login and password are
required and they're passed as SOAP headers.
We need to include this header in the soap message request. There is no
separate method available for authentication in the web service. We
have no control over the web service methods. We are just generating
the proxy class and using it.

as a background I have an Windows application developed with VS 2003 (c#)
that needs to transfer securely data to a MySQL database located on a Linux
server.
I have created a PHP webservice that will receive an xml file with all the
data to update an encrypted database. This way all database logic will remain
on the Linux server. The web service works OK using a testing PHP client.

I want consuming a webserivce trough a proxy. I use this code.

It doesn't works, it returns a error
HTTP 407: Proxy Authentication Required ( Access is denied. ).
But my proxy don't need a user Authentication.

I can consume a web service from an asp.net application with no problem.
The web service connects to a remote server through ODBC and returns a data
set to the consuming software.
When I try to consume the WS from a windows app is gives a 407 error.
