Anyone up for a challenge? I've been struggling with this for a few days and was hoping someone could help me. Pouring through all the messageboards I just can't find the solution. We have a GridView that needs to be dynamically designed, depending on what collection of fields our uses want to edit for their product data. We have 400+ fields of information per product so they're selecting a subset of those fields to edit.

I have found that I must re-create dynamically added controls on every postback in order to find and access them programatically. The controls I am working with are inside a GridView control. When the edit button is clicked, a postback occurs and the control are re-created. This causes an additional set of columns to be created in the GridView control, so that all of the dynamically added controls exist in 2 places on the screen. How can I...

Hi All, I have a requirement where I need to build a dynamic gridview. I am using asp .net 2.0. I have to display non-key columns of a table in the gridview and make user to be able to delete/update/ or insert new records to the gridview. I want to build SQL queries dynamically in the code based on user input and attach them to gridview...instead of using GUI.

PLEASE be patient and read this. I believe I've actually reached the end of the Web trying to find the answer! I have an aspx using a MasterPage with a ContentPlaceholder. I have a datatable that I use to dynamically populate a gridview - I have to do this in order to specify which control type to put in one of the columns. All this works fine. I've run Trace and can clearly see that the control.id I assigned (lblQuestionID) is there...

Okay I'm back with another issue ;-) Platform is .NET, VB 2005... I created a templace class that I was successfully able to add as a template column to a GridView control - dynamically!!! So my GridView has two 'hard-wired' columns plus any number of dynamic columns. And the template class has a checkbox control in it.

Having trouble creating a dynamic pagertemplate. I want it like this "Prev 1 2 3 4 Next". The numerically portion being the dynamic part based on the record count. I can generate it, but can't get any events to fire. Is it possible to do? I've tried creating them int he RowCreated event, DataBound and my own PagerTemplate, but nothing seems to work.

hello guys, i don't know if this is the right tread to post but i have the following problem: i've built a dynamic gridview in run time because the gried values (columns, headers, etc) are conditioned with values that come from the database. I used TemplateField's to do that. i don't have a active connection to the database. i store my information to a dataset and bind it to the gridview another thing is that all rows in m gridview are...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
