Hi,
Let me explain how I'd generally do things. For a page where the user
edits data, I'd generally call it something like editfred.php (for
example), the page which updates the data would be called
updatefred.php and equally the page which processes a delete would be
deletefred.php. I like splitting the pages up this way, it feels less
cluttered and more organised than throwing all the functionality in one
fred.php.

Hi,
I have an ASP.NET application using C# code. I am using a datagrid to
display records from a database based on a user input, i.e a user enters a
compnay name in text box & when he clicks a "Submit" button, only those
records are displayed where company name matches with user input.
I need the datagrid to be editable. For this i used the walkthrough from
..NET "Using a datagrid for reading & writing data to database" or it was some...

I have a number of simple select queries that a user needs to be able to
execute and display the data on the screen in a gridview. My thought was
that I could use a Gridview set to dymanically generate columns and bound to
a SQLDataSource. Then the user can click buttons (or whatever) and it
changes the SelectCommand property of the SQLDataSource and re-binds the
GridView.
That worked great until I enabled paging. When paging is...

I have a FormView control that I'm using to edit and insert records in
a table called Members in a Sybase database.
The short story is that there are a LOT of controls, and the controls
are exactly the same in both the EditItemTemplate and the
InsertItemTemplate. Is there any way to use the same template for both
Edit and Insert modes? It is a real pain to have to duplicate so much
ASP.NET code in the .aspx file.
Perhaps I should...

Hi,
I made a detailsview for inserting records.
I also made a gridview for editing and deleting the same records.
The keyfield is an autonumbering field in Access (pcnr).
My problem is: I can see the new inserted records in the gridview but I
can't delete or edit them. When clicking on delete or edit link, nothing
happens (no error either). All the others records (not inserted via the
detailsview) can be edited and deleted.

All,
I would be very grateful for any help on this question. I have an
application in asp.net 2.0 where I dynamically create a datatable and then
bind that to a gridview. Unfortunately, the date column always shows the
date and time while I just want the short date. I have tried applying a
format string {0:d} but to no avail. I saw a lot of posts regarding the
htmlencode property but I do not know how to turn that off for a...

Hi,
I would like to have a dynamic gridview (number of columns will change depending on project) and I would like to be able to change the value in a gridview cell and that the database tables will be updated when the grid view cell is updated. An edit button is too cumbersom for the operator.
Anybody know if this is possible, and if so, do you have a piece of sample for me? Preferrably C# aspx with MySql but anything that can get me further...

First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
