I have been trying to implement navigation buttons for a number of
forms in my application.
Creating the 'Next' 'Previous' buttons has been fine but setting the
enabled properties doesn't work due to problems with the BOF and EOF
properites. They never appear to be set properly.
Here is the offending code:
private sub Form_Current()

Hi everyone,
i was wondering if anyone else had observed this and if there is any
workaround or patch.
i have some screens (an mdi child forms) with the buttons &Add, &Edit,
&Save and E&xit, the idea being that the user can use Alt+A, Alt+E etc
etc
when any screen loads, Add, Edit and Exit are enabled.

I have a dilema here that I'm hoping some one can help me out with.
On my forms I have some basic New, Edit, Save, Delete, Undo buttons on
them. When first opened all controls on the form are not enabled. When
you hit one of the buttons certain controls enable and some don't
depending on the function. My dilema is with the New button and in turn
the Save button.
I would rather the user click the "New" button to add a record instead
of...

I have been raking my brains on why this does not work. I get back the same
login screen again instead of the home page redirection which should occur
after a successful login:
'create a cookie container so it can be shared between requests
so that authentication can be maintained
Dim objCookieCont As New CookieContainer
'create request to get the __VIEWSTATE of Authorize.NET's
Logon.aspx page

Using .NET 1.1, I need to be able to detect if Themes are enabled or
disabled, not for a specific application, but for the system as a whole (ie.
the current user). The reason I need to be able to do this is because of
this bug in MFC http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=319740, which is used to
build a component I am in turn making use of. So, I need to detect if
Themes are running and if so, see if the correct version of uxtheme.dll is...

In order to disable the previous and next buttons on my form, I followed the attached code. The buttons seem to work fine except for one thing. When the form first opens, the next button is disabled; however, if you click on the forward arrow on the scroll bar and click the previous button which takes you back to the 1st form, the next button is now enabled!
What am I doing wrong?
I just need the next button to be ENABLED when I open...

I have a Wizard page and need to affect the next and previous buttons from
my code-behind. I've googled around and found two solutions, and neither
appear to work.
I can access the SideBarList steps successfully with the following code...
Control myContainer =
(Control)Wizard1.FindControl("SideBarContainer");
DataList mySideBarList =
(DataList)myContainer.FindControl("SideBarList");

Hi everybody,
I have a form that has a combo box that asks the user to select the program they work on. Once the user selects the program, a SQL statement populates the row source for 4 staff member combo boxes.
I have an option group that has 4 option buttons for the user to indicate how many staff members to include. Once the user selects one of the option buttons, the appropriate number of combo boxes become enabled and contain the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
