Use the MS Script Editor included free with MS Office 2002 and above,
for debugging Internet Explorer (IE).
This subject is of great interest to many JS developers, as there is no
obvious, low cost way to do sophisticated debugging in
IE6 other than to use the debugger described below, which is horribly
documented otherwise. I feel debugging is an important aspect of
projecting the useability of the language and needs to be made more...

Hi all,
I've created an assembly with a strong name and added it to .NET's
configuration manager with Full Trust. However, the assmebly still will not
load in the Internet Zone.
I can only get the Assembly to load if I give Full Trust to a URL as well.

hi all,
debugging PHP applications interactively is possible, easy and free. I
am talking about PHPEclipse and using it for debugging over several
scripts or debugging through a session. Since I have wasted a lot of
time writing echo statements all over the code in order to confirm
program flow and watch variables, I feel I must share this with others
who will be facing similar problems.
PHPEclispe users can go to Step 5 directly....

I have encountered a problem with remote debugging under VS 2005 and
..Net 2.0 -- it seems that the framework installation does not include
the "Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 Configuration" tool!
My preferred method of debugging uses these steps:
1. Share the directory that contains the debug image; also share the
folder that contains the debug monitor.
2. Configure the project debug mode to launch the exeecutable from the
share rather...

The MSDN documentation on remote debugging is a bit sparse, to say the
least, and there is almost no information available on the 'best' way to
configure this. I should note that my development system is Windows XP
Pro and the test machine is Windows 2003, both running the latest
upgrades; Visual Studio 2005 is installed on the development system and
the .Net 2.0 framework is installed on the test system. The two systems
do not have the...

Hello All,
I have been trying to setup remote debugging for web part development by
running through the steps in the following documentation:
Debugging Web Parts:

Debug Settings and Preparation:

Is there a FAQ somewhere about how to publish a web app to a (2003)
server? I've mapped a drive to a directory under inetpub/wwwroot, and
used the Visual Studio "Publish Web Site" menu option to build and
publish it. The app files show up on the server. I went into IIS and
created it the app as a virtual directory. Now IIS looks good, with
the gear icon on the directory, but trying to access the application
via IE gives this message:

Hi there.
I posted an earlier issue under the name "That assembly does not allow
partially trusted callers" but have now identified what the issue is.
As explained before I am working in ASP.Net 2.0 using VB.Net and had
developed an application that ran correctly on my development server but
would not run on the shared hosting paltform which I use. The shared hosting
runs in medium trust and produced the error "That assembly does not...

I have an asp.net application that I've installed on several of my customers
laptops (they run a localized IIS). I've been doing this for years without
and issue.
Today I attempted to install this application on a laptop that belonged to a
contractor (i.e. not supplied by us). I brought it onto the domain,
installed what I needed to, and everything seemed fine.
However, when I run the app (i.e. access the default.aspx page via IE), I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
