Could someone point me in the direction of a good example of coding report printing from database tables through VB? I have 5 tables that I need to run a report from. They are actually very small, 1 - 8 columns wide, containing from 1 - 24 records in each table. So by my estimation, the whole database, should print to a single sheet of paper, if formated properly. Problem is, in all the VB5, 6 books and tutorial sites that I've got...

We have a page that reads records from a database and displays them. Basically name/address/city/state/zip/county/phone. These records are between 4-6 lines a piece (there are other variables involved). When printing these records via i.e. we currently have a process where we determine how many records have been written and eventually put a table with ..break { page-break-after: always } style applied to it. The problem is, sometimes a...

Using WinXP & AccessXP, I'd like to automatically have the records that I've just printed in a report automatically updated to have the 'print date & time' immediately inserted into a 'Date/Time' field in the table of all of the 'just printed' records. The crude way would be to run an Update Query immediately before or immediately after printing on those records in the report, but how would I have this done automatically when hitting the...

Please help I'd like to know if there is an easy way to setup a command button to select all the records in a table and then send it to print instead of opening the table and then choosing file and print. Thanks.

Hi, I got a printing problem for my C# program. I need to pull out records from database and format them and then print them out. I used PrintDocument class and PrintPageEventHandler function to handle multiple page printing. When I tried printing the records in testing environment which has an HP LaserJet 2420dn printer, it worked fine. However, when I put the program into production environment which has an EPSON FX-2190, the results...

Hello' How do I get the subform to print along with the main form? I want my user's to be able to go in the field with a printout of the info they need to populate in the database. So when they get back in the office they can input the data field by field. The reason I want them to take the actual form & subform is there is prepopulated data they need in the field.(which is on the form). & I want the paper version to look exactly like...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
