This is the weirdest thing I've come across in a while. I'm trying to resize an image. If I give it a small image ( < 100K) it will resize. If I give it a larger image, it gives me the IE "Action Cancelled" page. The memory_limit for PHP has been changed to 30MB so that's not the problem. I know that the line with imagecreatefromjpeg() is the problem (even though I can't get an error message). I can run this code with the large images...

I have an app where users will upload photos to their shopping cart. When they review their cart I need to include a light weight thumbnail of the image they uploaded. how can I take the image a user uploaded (PixOfMom.jpg at 600k) and convert it to a thumbnail and put into the image url of a .net image control using vb.net 1.1? Thanks! -- moondaddy@nospam.com

Hello all! I been trying to get a handle with Images. I have learned alot from the fine people here. So, I also learned that thumbnail images look terrible taken from a digital cam. I know why they look bad. So what is the best way to resize an image. I'm not too concerned about size, but I guess I would like to compress it on the upload. Any thoughts?

Hi all, could someone show me how to add javascript functionality to a css image gallery? I would like to adapt the gallery at "http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menu/gallery_click.html" so that when a thumbnail is clicked the larger image remains selected until another thumb is clicked. At the moment when I click a thumbnail the larger image appears, but if I click anywhere else in the page or adjust my scrollbar the image

I have attempted to use the CSS techniques from two or three sites to create a CSS only image gallery. I am muddling the affair by placing the thumbnails in one float, the page text in another float, then using absolute positioning (and z-index) to display the image over the second float. The CSS for the thumbnails is from "Web Accessibility At C-net.us" by K Chayka (http://accessat.c-net.us/test/gallery2.html). The CSS to display the...

Hi, I've got a PHP Upload Form that works great, unless that is, the image your uploading has been modified through a photo editing software. Example: if I upload the image straight from a camera or other, it uploads fine. However, If I want to rotate the image, or resize it with photoshop or simmilar, making sure to save it again as a jpg, the PHP upload won't upload the image.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
