I have a number of forms that do significant work based on variables
POSTed from the form. What is the common method of detecting and
preventing this work from being done when the form is POSTed as the
result of the user clicking the Back or Reload buttons in the browser?

With the body tag calling out 'window onload', a function with a
'window.open' fails at the 'window.open' line. If I cut out the body
tag, the function executes as normal.
At first I thought it was the entire function failing, but I tested
with alerts and found that it was only the 'window.open' that fails to
execute.
The function is being called by a link, and I suspected some problem
with the body alink/vlink but after cutting that out...

I have a form containing some text boxes and a button. I'm trying to work
out how to make it so that if certain textboxes contain no data then the
button is not enabled (however still visible).
Firstly I can't work out how to make a button un-enabled (is this a word? i
hope you know what i mean!) and secondly I'm not sure how to make it so that
once the specified textboxes do contain data the button is enabled. I'm

I just realized that the code I inherited is using all asp.net server
controls (ie. webform controls) and when I try to update textboxes on the
client side, I lose the new value of the textbox when submitting the form to
update the database. The server doesn't have the client side value any more.

I have a table (tblStatus) with three fields (CustomerID, StatusType
and StatusDate). I use an unbound form with three text boxes to enter

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
