For some reason I am getting an error when trying to open a recordset on an
Access database on my Win2K3 machine from my INDEX.ASP page, but the same
code accesses the database fine when coming from the GLOBAL.ASA page. I'm
using a DSN to connect to the database.
The error I'm getting is:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
Data source name not found and no
default driver specified

I have an application where users need to upload images and in my web.config
file I have a setting like this:
<httpRuntime maxRequestLength="512" />
Which restricts image larger than 500k from being uploaded. I'm also using
the HtmlInputFile control to do the uploading. My problem is that when the
user's file size exceeds 512k, the page immediately redirects to the "The
page cannot be displayed" error page which is very confusing. ...

my page works fine if the db search finds at least one record that
satifies the query.
but if it does not find a match I get the following error message.
Error Type:
ADODB.Field (0x80020009)
Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted.
Requested operation requires a current record.
What do I need to change here to make this just display the page with

I am trying to write a simple FTP server in order to learn about
sockets
This is my first time trying sockets
This code should take a connection on port 8110, dump it to a client
"thread" (not a thread yet), print "Test\n" to the thread, and close
everything.
It fails on creating the client thread with error 106: 'Transport
endpoint is already connected'

Hi all,
I'm trying to send a page using Perl via the WCTP protocol. For some reason, I cannot connect to the host "wctp.att.net/WCTP" (or any host for that matter). I figure it must be some server configuration that I need to set. I don't think it's a port problem b/c I'm able to send a page via WCTP using the same port using a stand-alone app.
Anyhow, here's the code I'm using:

I downloaded the personal website starter kit and when I run it I get the
error shown below.
I found a way of using Launch Surface Area Configuration that is supposed
to fix the remote setting but I tried it and still get the error.
I do not have SQL Server 2005 installed (thought I did once). I do have SQL
Server 2008 installed.
I don't see anywhere in the code where SQL Server 2005 is referenced.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
