creating error pages.

Hi,

Im accessing a page based on a query string parameter from a previous page. so if the query string is empty then i get an exception

stating that Object reference not set to an instance of an object. This all looks kinda not very well. So i have many pages wherein my pages

loads up according to query strings. So is there a way in which i could redirect the page to an error page which states that the page should

be accessed with a query string. I know this can be done using the web.config, but im not sure how to do it.

Thankx,

Nitin

I am accumulating over 80 pages per day into an archive that I will need to be able to present sequentially to viewers. Using html to viewing a page, then click on back to return to my archive index is so awkward it is not useful for my presentations. Can javascript be used to create a powerpoint like presentation of html files (with gif hyperlinks)sequentially from html page to page? Is so, could someone suggest where I could find a...

Hi all, I have a web app with a popup window for entering data. I don't want to access the web every time this window is opened, as most of the app is AJAX. But I can't figure out how to open a new window and build it with DOM rather than having to provide a src. Even a blank.html as src takes time to fetch. How can I create a popup and dynamically add DOM content without any html at all?

Hi, this is probably an old question, and I have had no luck finding answers to this one on the internet that has helped me out. I installed VS .NET 2003, then I installed IIS 5.1 after that. I had problems getting .aspx pages displayed so I ran: c:\winnt\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis.exe -i regsvr32 c:\winnt\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_isapi.dll After a reboot I could see my .aspx pages loading with...

For some reason the HTML that is being created by my ASP.Net pages (2.0) have a table like this: <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="z-index: 103; left: 0px; width: 100%; position: absolute; top: 0px;" id="TABLE1" onclick="return TABLE1_onclick()"> This ends up causing a javascript error "Object excpected" when you click on the page because there is no TABLE1_onclick() function. Why is it doing this and what can...

Hi All, I've been using a asp-label in the HTML <headsection for quite some time in order to dynamically generate meta-keywords,-description, css and js references. Though the actual HTML-output isn't that pretty (<span>'s in the head-section...) it works fine with browsers, crawlers. It never REALLY was an issue...

Hi all,In asp.net 1.x i creates a basepage that extends System.Web.UI.Page class. I created this file in a web appplcaition project and then refernced it from another projects. All the pages in this project inherited from this new BasePage ionstead of the Page class. In asp.net 2.0 i dont seem to make this work. I did the same thing. precompile the project and then added refernce to the assemblies in the precompiled directory.

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
