I just bought a new laptop to be used as my dev box but it came with Windows
Media Center. Does this have all of the features of xp pro such as IIS, and
other things required by asp.net developers or am I going to have to Install
Windows XP Pro?
Is there any list of what xp pro has that media center does not?
Is media center based on xp pro or xp home?
Thanks,

Compiling my current project I received the following error:
undefined reference to `vtable for Tuner'
The only two things I know are that the error occours when trying to invoke
the constructor of a class and that concerns virtual functions.
What does it mean?

I have a Dell wireless notebook loaded with MCE 2005. I want to record TV
and I have Comcast cable. Do I need an extra TV tuner or will my cable box
act as a tuner and work with MCE? If I do need to buy a tuner what's the
best way to connect it to the cable box? There are on the cable box: data
port and an RCA video connection(yellow coded). Or do I use a Y connector
with the cable coax?

I'm condering purchasing a PC with, due to time frame I'm looking to
buy preassembled and all the choices today come with Windows Media
Center Edition installed without XP Pro as even an option.
I've been told by two sales clerks that Media Center Edition is "XP Pro
with extras", I'd like to know from anyone who's used MCE or had read
up on this if Media Center Edition comes with IIS on the install CD (as
XP Pro does) and if it supports...

Hi.
I have a PC running VISTA Home Premium 32 bits SP1 (AThlon 64 x2 5200, 2
giga RAM, Radeon 8600 GT 512).
As TV tuner I have the PINNACLE PCTV Hybrid Tuner Kit, that include a
connection for S-Video and Audio/Video connectors.
Now, as far I understood during the tests I did yesterday, the VCR should be
connected as 'Cable' - 'Set Top Box'. Is this correct?
The second question: when connecting a Set Top Box, Media Center asks for

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
