I'm trying to authenticate a user against a windows network. I want it to
work across any kind of windows network from NT 4.0 up to Windows 2003 ADS.
So far I've been using DirectoryEntry and DirectorySearcher and doing a
search on Active Directory. With the addition of a customer on an NT 4.0
network, I've had to add DllImport using LogonUser() from advapi32.dll in
addition to the directory search.

I need to add a parameter to a directorysearcher.filter rather than using
hard-coded text. I have the following code that finds all members of an AD
group and then for each of those results tries to find that users
samAccountName.
Perhaps I'm going about this incorrectly but I know if I could pass my
searcher.filter a paramter rather than typing "cn=jason", etc this code
would work, any help would be very much appreciated!:

Hi!
I do have a problem while retrieving the AccountName of Members of a Active Directory-Group.
I get the members with the DirectorySearcher (of the System.DirectoryServices namespace).
It all works well with member-entries like:
"CN=blablabla,OU=Users,OU=xxx,OU=xx,DC=xx,DC=xxxxxx,DC=com"
or
"CN=lastname\,firstname info&X moreinfo-A,OU=Users,OU=xxx,OU=xx,DC=xx,DC=xxxxxxx,DC=com"

here is my current situation. I develop a program on my computer's
localhost. From there i contact Active directory succesfull using a
connectionstring like: LDAP://OU=BE,OU=SE,DC=eu,DC=aagp,DC=corp. This works
fine. My computer is in and OU under the BE folder, and so is my User. I

I found a file on the web that will allow you to enumerate groups but it was an .hta and the top level admins won't allow this. I need to give managers access to the groups so that when a new user is created they can tell me who they want their account to be modeled after. Suddenly, and I don't know the reason, users are created but the account is
disabled (see the flag User.AccountDisabled = False ).

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
