I have developed a web site using asp pages that use both vbscript and
javascript. Run the site on my PC and everything is fine. Ftp to my
web hosting provider which hosts asp pages and look on my site only to
find my vbscript is not recognised. It is treated as pure text so you
see
<% =Request.Form("LoginId") %>. Also see all the vbscript when you
"View Source". I have e-mailed my host provider but thought this may
be quicker!
Any ideas...

Hi,
In the debugger at run time, characters like é are not recognised by
their normal ASCII number, but something like -8615722... . I've seen
this number before, it means "rubbish" right?
So how can I possible modify my program so that french characters get
recognised?
Thanks in advance,

Let me expand on my previous post :
When I embed spaces in my document flow (eg. between two linkbutton controls
on the same line),   is embedded into my html. Problem is, this is not
recognised on some browsers (Netscape, Mozilla). eg.
<asp:linkbutton id="SaveButton" runat="server" Text="Save
Changes"></asp:linkbutton>
<asp:linkbutton id="CancelButton" runat="server" Text="Cancel
Changes"></asp:linkbutton>

Hi there. I am a little confused. SelectedValue is a property of ListBox and
dropdownlist. However it isnt in the list of properties in intellisence (html
view i am not talking about code behind where it does list it). So when I
create my asp:ListBox and try to set SelectedValue=(to a databind value) it
has a squiggly line under it and says 'not recognised property of list box'.
The thing is, it works, so i have ignored it, but I would...

Hi,
I have two servers, both running windows 2003 and both containing the exact
same properties for IIS.
I have a set of asp intranet pages that are located inside the
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\test folder.
On one of the servers, the asp pages run fine, however on the second server
the asp files are not recognised as asp pages. If you double click them,

Hello group,
I'm facing a problem in calling a signed .Net class library (c#) from
VB6 exe.
I have a VB6 exe calling .net assembly. The call to .Net dll works fine
when i deploy the .Net assembly as Private assembly. But here the only
issue is i need to place .Net dll and VB6 exe in same location.
To avoid this location dependency issue i tried registering the .Net

What I thought was a string value does not seem to be recognised as
such.
In the following code I extract the string "foo" from an array and
put it into the variable up0
But on checking I find that
(up0=="foo") returns false.
Using the toString function as in
var up0 = update.toString();
makes no difference

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
