Seconded.

I am not sure how huge it can go, however.

Yes I know about sharp developer, but do you think that it can replace
VS 2005 for big projects. I talk about debugging and good load end
execute time and etc. Do you have such experience with it?

Yes I need a stable and reliable IDE. The question is "Is it only
VS?" :)

Apr 24 '07 #5
What is the real issue here? Is it cost? Is it MS? Seems like you really
want VS, but you don't want VS.

You could use Visual C# Express, or Visual Basic Express, or Visual Web
whatever-it-is, all of which are FREE. Can't save more money than that!

yeah but they can't do the job. you can't open web app, class lib and
win form in visual web developer rigth...and my project is pretty big
i haven't ran it on Sharp Developer yet. Do you think that it will be
stable then?

Apr 27 '07 #9
Let see. Its a "big" project that I assume is very important and will take
much time and resourses and hopefully make money on the back end. But your
boss wants to save a few dollars on the most important part of the project
(i.e. the dev enviroment and productivity). Does not make any sense. I
might think about getting a new boss.

Is this an alternative to eval(). Admittidly, I have done *very* little testing (ran it a few times in Firefox), but it seemed to work suprisingly well with simple expressions such as "alert('hello')" function _eval(s) { var h = document.getElementsByTagName("HEAD"); var o = document.createElement("SCRIPT"); o.text = s; h.appendChild(o);

Lo group, During my quest for the "perfect" way for storing tree-structures it quickly became clear that all of the available SQL-solutions have their own peculiar weaknesses (scalability, slow querying, dangerous inserts, etc). This makes me wonder if storing a tree-structure in LDAP would be a realistic alternative? Scaling probably wouldn't be a problem but how about speed and stuff?

I'm looking at building an application that needs to display 4 levels of hierarchical data. Initially the obvious choice for this would seem to be the treeview control. After searching this newsgroup I've found that there is a lot of opinion that says to stay away from the treeview if at all possible due to lack of documentation and distribution problems. Added to this, I've never used it before and don't need a new learning curve at the...

Good afternoon all, Does anyone know if there is an alternative to the Microsoft Excel Function Goal Seek within the Visual Studio .NET 2003 and 2005 programs. I see that they have the ability to pick-up the Microsoft Excel function; but this relies on the a cell range etc, so I thought they may have developed a like function for .NET. Any assistance you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any multimedia support in ASP.NET 2005? None of my books even mention sound or video, MSDN only mentions some complicated API, and searching these newsgroups only mentions bgsound for playing a sound in ASP.
