Hi Thanks for your reply
i have a hour field in databse with, (float) datatype. This hold no. of hours an employed works. In sql-reporting i have to calculate sum on different criteria. Now for sum i have to combine it in Time-format.

e.g -If there will be three values in database like 8.3,8.3,8.3.
Then sum should be 25.3 not 24.9

Hi, I'm trying to write a program using the Dev C++ 4.9.9.2 compiler that takes input numbers from a word document, sums them together, and then gives me a result. It should be easy as the book I have tells me what to do, problem is I get the error message "cannot convert `float' to `float*' for argument `1' to `float array_sum(float*, int)' " for line 22 of the program. This is what I have; #include <iostream.h> #include <fstream.h> ...

Hi guys, My first post here and I'm a pascal coder doing his best to move to C/C++ so please go easy on me ;) I'm using the MySQL C API to pull some values from a DB. One of the fields is a float value, but I can't seem to cast this field to a float variable correctly:- if(mysql_exec_sql(&mysql,query)==0) /*success*/

I have a float value which should be initialized to the minimum allowed value (analogous to -infinity). I discovered today (thank you, unit tests!) that numeric_limits<float>::min() returns a very small number greater than 0, rather than the extremely negative number which I want. Is it safe to use -numeric_limits<float>::max() for this purpose, or is something else preferred? Thanks, Mark

I'm a total newbie in C# and ASP.NET, so I hope I'm in the right forum. My very first project is a custom control that converts strings into images on the fly (through a httphandler) - that works fine, except for 'FontSize'. I have no clue how to convert the FontUnit into a float-value. - This works fine: String sFontSize = context.Request.Params.Get("FontSize"); FontUnitConverter fuc = new FontUnitConverter(); FontUnit fu=...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
