Hi all,
I have a problem converting datetime to integer (and than back to
datetime).
Depending whether the time is AM or PM, same date is converted to two
different integer representations, which holds as true on reversal
back to datetime.
AM Example:

Hey c.l.c++ and/or c.g.a.opengl posters,
How do I convert a hexidecimal string, traditionally used for defining
colors with HTML, into a floating point array?
In other words, how do I convert this:
char* hex = "#FF9933";
into this:

I have created a stored procedure that contain this field (below) in
order to meet certain criteria. But my problem is when I try to run
the stored procedure I encounter an error "Error converting data type
varchar to float".
CASE Final WHEN 0 THEN '--' ELSE Final END AS FinalGrade
The Final field is a float data type.
Could anyone teach me how to fix this problem?

Does anyone have C code laying around to do this?
I have to read in some binary data files that contains some 4-byte
IBM/370 floating point values. I would like a function to convert
4-byte IBM/370 float values into IEEE 754 'float' values that I can
use directly with any modern C environment (that uses IEEE 754).
I can handle endian conversion myself (the files are stored as big
endian, and I'll process them on a little endian...

Hello Folks ,
General C data types question , more geared up towards embedded folks .
I have a positive float quantity with a fractional part (one decimal
point) which occupies
4 bytes . Now i want to stuff it in to a two byte quantity like
unsigned short and then
reconvert it back to float .
We can use any method like type casting or directly doing low level

I am interested in converting sets of 4 bytes to floats in C++. I have
a library that reads image data and returns the data as an array of
unsigned chars. The image data is stored as 4-byte floats. How can I
convert the sets of 4 bytes to floats?
Thanks,
Greg Book

#include <fstream>
using namespace std;
using std::ifstream;
using std::ofstream;

Hi Group!
I have a vector<floatvariable that I need to pass to a function, but
the function takes a float * arguement. That's OK, I can convert by
doing &MyVector.front(), but when I get back a float * from the
function, how to convert that back to a vector?
Thanks in advance!

I'm having this weird problem where my code does the following
conversion from string to float:
27000000.0 -27000000.00
2973999.99 -29740000.00
2989999.13 -2989999.25
The number on the left is the string I get after tokenizing a bigger
string. The number on the right is the number I get after the conversion.

Consider the equation (flight dynamics stuff):
Yaw (Degrees) = Azimuth Angle(Radians) * 180 (Degrees) /
3.1415926535897932384626433832795 (Radians)
There's a valid reason to use single precision floating point types.
The number of decimal digits guaranteed to be correct on my
implementation is 6. (i.e numeric_limits < float >::digits10 = 6 )
If I'm reading the IEEE standard, I'd could paraphrase the issue

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
