Hi there,
I have a problem in that I need to de-compress a file that was
compressed using the UNIX compress command. The resulting filename is
helloworld.xml.Z
I have looked at SharpZipLib, but haven't been able to make it work on
this file (perhaps this format is not supported?)
WinZip seems to cope perfectly happily with the file, but I need to be

I need to improve the download speed for an asp.net 2.0 application.
So I'd like to compress the dimension of the .aspx pages.
These pages don't have any images or heavy element.
The most long text of the pages is the javascript code that is
automatically inserted on the pages by the .net.
How can i compress these files?

Hi
I want to achive 2 things.
First I would like to compress an existing file on my harddrive.
I can easily find out if a file is compressed or not by using
"File.GetAttributes".
But no matter what I do I simply can't set the compressed attribute using
"SetAttributes".
I have no problem setting the attributes "Read-Only", "Archive" or "Hidden"
using "SetAttributes"!

Hi there,
I'm brand new to ASP (from PHP background) and i am developing some content management for a web site. I'm having a problem with the fact that I want to allow image files to be uploaded to a remote web server, as the hosting package the web site is on is IIS6 and has a default file upload size limit of 200kb. As it's a shared hosting package, the default limit cannot be changed for me, therefore I'm stuck with the problem of how to...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
