Hi Mahesh,

You can use SelectedTab property of the TabControl to do this. Say your TabControl is tabControl1 and your third TabPage is tabPage3. The you can add the following code to the load event of your page.

tabControl1.Sel ectedTab = tabPage3;

How can I keep the ComboBox textbox empty of datasource items when my local application starts AND keep them empty even after the user clicks different Tabs on the form. I welcome any questions. The problem isn’t clearing the items from the CB textbox, the problem is I can’t keep them empty when the user moves around the Tabs on the form. Each Tab has more CB’s and, by the way of course, I need to keep user CB selections on each...

Another newbie question I'm afraid. When I use the .Focus() or .Select() methods to set the initial control that has focus on a form, try as I might I cannot get the control to visually indicate that it has the focus (e.g. a dotted outline around the caption of a RadioButton). The visible and enabled properties are set to true, and I know that the desired control has the focus (in this case one of two or more RadioButtons located in a...

Anyone have any code handy for handling logical paging when using tabs to handle a multiple page form? What I have read, you can make each tab one of the pages, hide all but the active tab and display the "current page". Likely each tab needs a "page up" "Page down" and "Start of Document" button that will appropriately hide the current tab and unhide the selected one. Thanks Bob

I'd like to create a new VB 2005 app that looks like the VS 2005 IDE - in other words, an app that has multiple forms, but instead of displaying them seperately or in an MDI main from, I'd rather display them in tabs across the screen. I might have functions that are available to the app in the tree view on the left, then as they select functions it would open them in a new tab... again, almost exactly as the VB IDE does. My question...

One frequently asked question at TheScripts is how to set focus/make active a specific Tab on a Tab Control other than clicking on it. Before I provide the answer, I feel as though a little summary information would be most helpful. __1. An individual Tab on a Tab Control is actually a Page Object. For this discussion, we will use the terms Tab/Page interchangeably, however. __2. Each Page Object is a member of the Pages Collection which...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
