Hi,
Does Validation controls like "Required field validator".... ever work with
Netscape or we have to write javascript for either client-side or write
server side validation.

Thought I'd share this since it took me a long time to get it working.
Thanks to a bunch of contributers in Google Groups who shared
javascript, etc.
The question was: How can I put a reset button on my ASP.NET web page,
and have an HTML reset button click clear 1) all validator text display
and 2) validation summary display. Problem was clearing them and yet
still leaving them working and visible if the user immediately began...

Hi there,
The following simple validation code works in internet explorer but
doesn't in firefox.
Specifically, in firefox shows the alert message and then loads the
action page anyway.

Hi,
I have a form for uploading documents and inserting the data into a mysql
db. I would like to validate the form. I have tried a couple of Javascript
form validation functions, but it appears that the data goes straight to the
processing page, rather than the javascript seeing if data is missing and
popping up an alert. I thought it may be because much of the form is
populated with data from the db (lists, etc.), but when I leave...

using .net 2.0, i have a web form with lots of textboxes, drop-down-lists
etc. There are lots of required field validators and regular expression
validators. When i click the 'save' button, the client-side validation is
executed immediately and the errors flash up on screen. However at the same
time, a post-back is performed and the page is obviously un-usable while it

Our intranet server died a few months ago and we migrated everything over to
a new one.
When we did that, any app (asp.net 1.1) of ours that depended on client-side
navigation just broke.
What happens is that in IE, any button that causes a post-back but also
triggers client-side validation doesn't do anything. It doesn't validate,
nor causes a postback. Nor does it give me a JS error.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
