Not really a Python question... but here goes: Is there a way to read
the content of a PDF file and decode it with Python? I'd like to read
PDF's, decode them, and then search the data for certain strings.

I am looking for a best tool to convert html source to PDF.
I am generating html from an xslt and want to convert it to pdf..i have
evaluated ABDpdf and ActivePdf components. but not sure if these are
profesional tools (with good support and all).

Experienced posters,
I have searched google for a good tool for generating PDF reports. I have
found many reporting tools that have various feature sets.
I am looking for a good PDF designer so I can visually build the layout of
the PDF/Report, but plug the data in dynamically with vb.net.
Anyone have any good recommendations?
