Internet Activity

Hello ALL,

Not sure if something like this can be done; I'm new in .NET and
programming.

Recently I was asked if I could create a program that can record
Internet Activity using VB2005. I was thinking about loading a service
into the client that will monitor IE usage whenever it's has focus and
report this data to a db for reporting.

Does anyone know if there's a .Net class out there that can do the job?
Any idea on the best way to accomplish this?

I'll be using VB 2005 / Framework 2.0

Thanks you in advance...

Hello Alex,

You need to enumerate all WebBrowsers window, then try to get WebBrowser.Loca tionURL
property

See

Hello, I have an application that will be logging to a SQL Server 2000 database user user activity from several Windows 2003 terminal servers. This information will be retrieved by monitoring the Security logs of these servers (this part I know how to accomplish already). A table in the database, tblLogEntries, will contain the following fields:

Hi there, I need to write an application which should monitor user activity client-side and transmit captured information to a central server. User activity means application usage and "internet activity" (browsing, FTP, or whatever). For the application usage part I decided to implement WMI Win32_Process events which will do fine; however I need a solid approach for the internet activity part - some advice would be greatly...

I have found an Activity Bar control which looks to be exactly what I need for my splash screen, but I can't seem to get it working. When I initialise the Start method, the application bar works great until I do any other processing, which is when it freezes! There is no documentation with the control which I downloaded from: http://www.gotdotnet.com/Community/UserSamples/Details.aspx?SampleGuid=7B0E2EAB-42C4-47AA-9292-731052946BD5 I...

Hey all! I was reading over at the IE Blog the other day http://http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/] and read some interesting, and encouraging news. According to Sunava Dutta, an IE Program Manager, starting in IE7 XMLHttpRequest will be a plain JavaScript object. It will still include the Microsoft.XMLHTTP ActiveX component for compatibility, but IMHO this is a very good shift for IE. What do you think?

See why this is true and if you know how to spot the activity, you might be able to help make an impact in a couple of minutes a day. http://fraudwar.blogspot.com/2006/05/internet-crimes-are-on-rise-and.html

A lot of architects tackle the issue of exposing internal web services and web applications to the Internet. How many times do you see a requirement such as "the application should be accessible to users behind the firewall (on the intranet) but also to users on the Internet"? Traditionally, architects had two choices - beg the network engineers and managers to "poke holes" in the firewall (unlikely), buy an expensive specialized...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
