Unable to start remote debugging on the server

In .net 2.0 i have deployed my web application on the remote server
with application code. when i am running that application from my local
machine through mapping to that server i am getting an error
message:Unable to start remote debugging on the server. i have checked
all permissions that need to be given to user and application but still
facing the same problem. In visual studio 2005, i have also checked the
remote debugging option but again good for nothing.

Kindly note that i am getting all source code and application files
from server so i dont have anything on my local machine except studio
2005.
Please let me know how this problem can be solved .

Hi everybody, My problem seems a bit clichè but I could not work around. Well I read lots of MSDN papers and discussions, but my problem is a bit different from them. When I tried to run the project in debug mode (by hitting F5) it gives an error message "Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web server.

Please verify that you are logged on to the server through Terminal Services or that you are logged onto the server...

I have a W2003 web server running many web applications. One of these uses remote debugging. It works perfectly. Today, I created a new asp.net project. I have 2 problems with it: 1 - Any error that occurs displays the generic "application error has ocurred" screen. It also says to enable real error messages to set, in web.config: <customErrors mode="Off" />

I'm running VS on my PC (W2K) connected to a remote IIS server (W2K) SP4 that is not a domain controller. I've got the ASPNET and IWAM accounts in the "Impersonate a client after authentication" user rights on the server. I'm in the local admins and debuggers groups. When trying to debug, I'm getting the: Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web server. Catastrophic failure error, and I've seen other...

This morning I upgraded the .net framework on our development web server from 1.1 to version 2.0. Then I ran aspnet_regiis -i from the v2.0 folder. I ran several tests and everything looked OK until I tried running the remote debugger on my machine. I get the following error: Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web server. I was able to run remote debugging just fine from my local machine

I am working on an ASP.Net project which for some historico-technical reasons isn't run locally but directly on the web server. It works ok, but whereas I was at some point after struggling for months able to debug on the web server, I can't anymore. Here's the message : "Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web server. You do not have privileges to debug the web server process.

The web server is running Server 2003 sp1. I even tried disabling the loopback check in the registry...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
