Unable remote debugging on two Win XP machines

Hi, there,

we have the server with Win XP Professional and our Web Application resides
there. Developeres work on their local computers (Win XP Pro) and by means
of "Source control" feature we share code in .NET Visual Studio. We have the
problem with remote debugging. When developer tries to debug code error
message appears:

" Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web
server. Access denied. Verify that you are an administrator or a member of
the 'Debugger Users' group on the machine you are trying to debug. "

We tried all possible solutions, put almost all users to the Debugger User
and to the Administrator group on the server as well as on the local
machine. Tried to change Local Policies in Security Settings. We did not
suceed. We spent two days googling and browsing MSDN and now becoming
desperate.

Later we found out that there may be problems with remote debugging if both
server and client has Win XP Pro. We will appreciate any help. Thanks.

When I tried to run the project in debug mode (by hitting F5) it gives an error message "Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web server.

This morning I upgraded the .net framework on our development web server from 1.1 to version 2.0. Then I ran aspnet_regiis -i from the v2.0 folder. I ran several tests and everything looked OK until I tried running the remote debugger on my machine. I get the following error: Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web server. I was able to run remote debugging just fine from my local machine

No problem at all. Now, I'm trying to deploy the app I done to a windows 2003 server, with IIS 6.0 and in wich I installed the Visual Studio 2003 server components (for web development). It has ASP.Net 1.1 too.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
