Remote debugging on VMWare

Hi,

I am want to debug a project remotelly on a virtula machine (VMWare). The
host is 64 bit Vista Bussines and guest is 64 bit WinXP Professional. The
..NET framework is installed on both machines.

I am using VMWare workstation 6.

whne I start debugging, the remote debugger on virtual machine starts
successfully. in the VM output windows is "Preparing the project's
configuration properties for remote debugging."

After while I get error window with a message:

"The Visual Studio failed to start the debugging session in the virtula
machine..."

There are listed steps that should be done to be successfull: all steps I
have set up (the same user name and password on both machines, firewall OFF,
....)

Still I can't make it work.

Do you have any idea what am I missing?

Thanks,

Lubomir

I'm writing an ASP.NET app, using Visual Studio 2003. VS is running locally on my laptop, but the web app is running on a remote server. My laptop is not in the domain. I do have a domain account. I had no issue creating the web app on the remote server after authenticating with the domain account, but I can't debug. It complains that I don't have rights. My domain account is in the administrators group on the remote machine. I also have...

I pride myself on being able to Google just about anything but... I have fought, tried, searched and fought some more on this one. I am using VMware, and am able to debug from Visual Studio to the VMware virtual machine... Right up until the application being debugged tries to write to the registry. Then it fails due to lack of security permissions. It writes to the Host PC registry just fine. This is only happening when remote...

When developing web report, many developers use VMware to simulate different operating systems on a same server. Then, they can realize cross-platform deployment and debug of web report. According to real application of web report, I will discuss three network setting ways of VMware with all of you. Bridge way This is the simplest way as it bridges the virtual network card to a physical network card directly. It is similar to a network...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
