How to link Visual Studio 2005 to already installed MSDN Library?

JJ
Hi all,

I have been working with Visual Studio 2003, but recently we decided to

upgrade to Visual Studio 2005. I installed Visual Studio 2005 (after
uninstalling Visual Studio 2003). Since MSDN April 2005 was already
installed in my machine; I didn't install the MSDN again. Now, can I
link this Visual Studio 2005 to my MSDN Library so that viewing help
becomes as convenient as hitting F1?
Please help.
JJ

I'm using Visual Studio, with ASP.NET. Is VSS on a separate CD. Also, is it possible to use the VSS beta (2005) with .NET if I'm not using the .NET beta. And finally, where do I get the VSS beta... when I go to msdn, it just directs me to a page with Whidbey downloads.... nothing mentioned on VSS TY Jason Shohet

Hi, I've installed (by that I mean a full uninstall and re-install) Visual Studio 2005 at least twice on my 64-bit windows machine (AMD64). I make sure I install the SDK 2.0 for x64, and the installation is completed 'Succesfully' as per the setup dialogs. However, when I try to open the IDE by clicking on the shortcut, or attempting to open \Common7\IDE\devenv.exe, I get the following dialog:

I am trying to create a DLL in Visual Studio 2005-Visual Basic that contains custom functions. I believe I need to use COM interop to allow VBA code in Excel 2002 to access it. I've studied everything I can find on COM Interop and .NET. I've also tried many of the 'Walkthroughs' on the MSDN site relating to COM add-ins, .NET and Office XP but am unable to get even these working in Excel 2002 or Word 2002. I've installed the Office XP...

Hi all, I must be out of my mind. I used visual studio .net 2003 before and I installed 2005 a while back, but seldom to use it. Recently I was required to start to learn C# asp.net. So I tried to open a web application project in 2005. but I cannot find any asp.net web application or asp.net web services project templates which I can see them in .net 2003. What's going on? did I miss anything when I installed? is there any easy way to...

This is driving me mad. I have Visual Studio.NET PRO 2005 installed on my machine at work. I want to write a web service. I find lots of tutorials on how to do this with Visual Studio.NET; some are even Visual Studio.NET 2005. These tutorials all have screenshots of the "Visual Studio Installed Templates" under Visual C#. Here is one example: http://webproject.scottgu.com/CSharp/HelloWorld/Helloworld.aspx

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
